Who Can AttendAnyone of all ages are free to attend during the 3 days. There are no fees for spectating. If you want to see what the hype is all about, all you need to do is bring some lawn chairs and follow the map to the launch site. Once there, you can mingle among the fliers, take a look at rockets, snap photos, and learn about our great hobby. |

June 27 - June 29, 2008
The Lethbridge Rocketry Association (LRA) and the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR) along with Tripoli Alberta are inviting everyone to the largest launch in Canada. This event has grown to be one of the highest and biggest launches in North America. Be advised that the launch will be held using the CAR rules/guidelines, only NRCan ERD approved motors or other authorized motors will be allowed, and Tripoli membership is required to fly high power.
2005 saw the arrival of LDRS. This launch is the largest in the world and was held for the first time outside of the United States. Roc Lake is held on the same location and promises to be the same, if not better, than LDRS.
This 3-day event will be held from June 27 to June 29.. The location is Southern Alberta, just north of the Montana Canadian border. The area contains a wealth of culture and unique scenery. This will be the 10th anniversary of the Roc Lake launch, come and celebrate with us!
For our 10th launch, we want to celebrate Roc Lake X by remembering some of the past events and seeing if any past fliers who have not been around in awhile might want to come and relive some of the fun. To that end, we will be having an area (one of those large tents we have had in the past) set up for people to display old photos and mementos from previous Roc Lakes as well as any videos people might have. Bring anything you have along and stick an old rockteer in your vehicle as well!
Take a look around the web site using the menu on the left and above. And don't forget to book that vacation time for late June.
We are requesting that anyone that is thinking of having a project that will exceed 25,000 Ft to contact us very soon so we can ensure we apply for the proper windows.
